86 Judith van Naerssen, Artist On The Go
Following a long, creative, successful career as an Occupational Therapist with specialties in
pediatrics and visual impairment, Judith relocated to Tucson from the Philadelphia PA area in
2014. Retirement in the southwest opened doors to volunteering with local artist Niki Glen,
international refugees (Owl & Panther) and homeless women (Sister Jose Women’s Center). Of
huge importance it also has allowed her the ability to live out her lifelong dream to study and
actively immerse herself in the world of oil painting.
Love of drawing and painting began in childhood for Judith, but it was not until after retiring
that a dormant passion surfaced, dreams began to be followed and painting became today's
focus. As an artist, Judith strives to capture and share snippets of life and time which speak
from and to the heart. Her work can be viewed at www.Jvannaerssen.com as well as at Judith
