Jo-Ann was born and raised in Tucson. She went to University High School (her Mom taught her French),
and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology at the University of Arizona. After 20
years away, she is back at the University of Arizona as a Research Coordinator in the Anesthesiology
Department. She is the proud Mom of her daughter Hannah, and enjoys hiking with her partner, Kris,
and their dog Bowie.
